Ethical Supply Chain

Our team manages the manufacturing process of all of our uniforms directly with our factories overseas. This means we have complete control from design, through to product development, production, logistics and delivery to our onsite warehouse.

Accreditations & Certifications

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We established a Supplier Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations regarding human rights, labour standards, and environmental sustainability and are committed to sourcing uniforms from suppliers that adhere to this code. This includes verifying that suppliers provide fair wages and safe working conditions for their employees and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.

Our suppliers are audited annually via Sedex or amfori methodologies to monitor compliance and ensure our expectations are met and ethical and sustainable practices are globally recognised.

CargoCrew
Local Certification

Cargo Crew is proud to be accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) for our in-house embroidery service and the majority of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) uniform range. M&OP has put Victorian businesses first in the rollout of their uniform - committed to a uniform range that is ethically sourced and locally made.

ECA is a joint industry and union accreditation body working collaboratively with local textile, clothing and footwear businesses to protect and uphold the rights of Australian garment workers.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is a globally recognised certification system that evaluates and regulates textile products for their safety and sustainability.

Certification means that products have been independently tested and are free from harmful substances and chemicals that can have a negative effect on our health and the environment. Tests are run by accredited labs across the world, who thoroughly and methodically test every minute detail of the garment - including the fabric and all accessories, buttons and finishings - down to the last thread!

Approved garments are given a unique QR code on their label, allowing consumers to check that certification is legitimate. That's right, you can scan your garment and ensure it is certified.

Currently applicable to our Shirting range and selected Aprons, we are working to further this accreditation across our entire range.

BLUESIGN®

In addition to our Standard 100 certification, our suppliers of Jasper aprons, Hazel aprons and tote bags and Scout Puffer Vest filling are a bluesign® system partner.

bluesign® system partners are responsibly acting companies in the textile manufacturing chain that are committed to the bluesign® system - implementing the highest environmental standards in their operations and supply chain.
