UNIFORM SIZING FOR A MODERN FIT
Sizing your staff uniform for a perfect Modern Fit can be a pain point for many businesses.

Let us help you solve it from the start! We understand figuring out what clothing size you are these days can be challenging.

This inconsistency then travels over into the workplace when fitting your staff for uniform apparel and ensuring the size and fit is on point. Often times staff estimate their sizing incorrectly – this can lead to ordering of wrong size uniforms, holding of uniform stock your business doesn’t need and staff not feeling comfortable or looking their best in the job role.

We aim to remove this pain point with consistency and helpful fit and measuring guides for all of our ranges.

CargoCrew
Australian Sizing Guide

At Cargo Crew we use the Australian Sizing Guide as a starting measure to create the right fit for our garments. We then take into account the fabric that is being used to create the garment, the design of the garment and the purpose we believe the uniform will mostly be worn for.

All of these factors help guide us to achieve our aim of delivering a commercial yet Modern fit for all employees on your team.

WHAT IS A MODERN FIT?

At Cargo Crew we conside a 'Modern Fit' to be work appropriate cut for style & function; Not designed to be skin tight.

Our Shirts should fit comfortably giving you a full range of motion. They may feel snug, but not tight. Your chest should “fill out” the shirt but if the buttons pull when you’re standing still with your arms down, then it’s too tight.

Tips for finding the right fit

Our aim in our fit process is to remain true to size in Australian terms, meaning if you are a Women's Size 12 then purchasing a Size 12 Cargo Crew uniform will work. This logic can also be applied to our Suiting Range sizing, and Men's Shirts and Pants sizes.

Everyone has a different idea of the perfect fit though, so to help you offer some uniformity to how your team fit and work comfortably in their uniforms, the following tips will help you:

  • Something we like to communicate to our customers when they are outfitting their staff is a uniform shouldn’t be about squeezing into the smallest size possible.
  • Forget about the size and label, and choose a garment that has room for repeat movements you need on the job.
  • Provide your staff with our measuring guides which you can download below, so they can easily measure once and then you can order confidently based on true sizes.
  • If in doubt, pop into our showroom or give us a call, we're happy to help!

Your staff will look good, feel confident and your business will benefit from time and cost efficiencies.

How to measure for the perfect fit?

The best way for your crew to ensure your crew get the perfect fit is to get them to use our Size Guide Measurement directions. These will step out exactly where to measure to find the right fit. If you are on the cusp of two sizes, we recommend sizing up to ensure you are always comfortable during your work day.
