Beacon Lighting approached Cargo Crew to bring a contemporary update to their outdated uniforms, to match their modern stores and reflect their staff demographic.
Beacon stores are also a dynamic retail space, with staff completing sit down client consultations, using ladders to reach stock and on their feet in the showroom & behind the counter.
The previous uniform hadn’t been updated in over 10 years and staff felt self-conscious to be seen in their uniforms outside the store before & after their shift.
This became our unique goal, not only to be practical & functional for the space, but to design a modern uniform that Beacon staff would be proud to wear outside of the Beacon Lighting stores.
Beacon Lighting has a broad staff demographic and climate requirements with 110 stores across Australia. This was definitely taken into consideration by delivering both long and short sleeve shirting options, knitwear jumpers & cardigans for layering and pant, skirt & dress options to give all staff members a trans-seasonal modern uniform.
We also wanted to elevate the female offering to provide some feminine uniform pieces that work back with the core Beacon Lighting uniform range to give diversity, styling options and longevity to their uniforms. The Margot blouse and Smith Shirt Dress in Navy were the perfect apparel pieces to fit this brief.
