Our step by step process to designing a custom apron will allow you to easily create a unique uniform for your business that makes a lasting impression. Utilising your brand colours and identity, and our modern apron range you can choose from as many as 192 unique apron and strap combinations in our Choose Your Strap Apron range.
The result is a staff apron that compliments your branding, venue, climate and aesthetic seamlessly. And is unique to YOUR business!
STEP 1 – Choose your Apron
Choose from one of our 3 best selling apron designs – The Henry (Did you know.. five are sold every hour worldwide!), The Ace, or The Barkly. Make your choice based on the look and feel of your business, logo and venue.
The light-weight Fight the Fade* linen of The Henry can suit a hospitality venue with a natural brand aesthetic, whereas the darker durable canvas of The Henry elevates catering teams at leading event companies. *Fight the Fade™ is a Cargo Crew exclusive fabric that resists fading for 100+ washes, designed to work as hard as your team!
The Ace in light denim or Black colourways have a shorter length and larger, modern pockets, which lends itself well to service and retail businesses with youthful branding. Without a pocket on the chest, this apron is ideal for full chest embroidery.
If your business requires more sophisticated, clean lines from an apron The Barkly, in black or blue denim delivers with minimalist styling details. Also ideal for full chest embroidery and a large front pocket for all your teams’ essentials. This apron is popular with restaurants, retail spaces and catering teams due to its hard wearing fabrication and elevated denim.
HOW TO TIE A CROSS BACK APRON
Cross Back Aprons are ideal for distributing weight evenly across the back, for all day wear and comfort.
How do you tie?
Make sure the straps are crossed over your back and not twisted. You can tie at the back with a neat bow, or tie in the front with the added benefit of looping a tea towel over the strap around your waist. Its really up to the wearers’ preference and style.
STEP 2 – Choose your Strap
Designed to compliment our 12 Choose Your Strap Apron fabrics, our 3 apron strap designs are available in 16 colourways allowing for complete custom apron design.
The apron strap you choose to match to the apron helps set the tone of your uniform and elevates your branding. This may be fun and playful with a pop of colour in your straps, an elegant and professional solid or herringbone, contemporary elevation with a leather look strap, or designer edge with our Ned tonal straps.
Our leading designers recommend the following to get the most out of designing your custom apron with your strap choice:
- Look at your logo and choose an accent colour as a starting point for your straps
- If your logo is tonal or monochrome look around your business interiors – do you include timber, concrete or brushed metals? Compliment the interiors with your apron strap choice
- Still can’t decide on a strap? We have a curated selection of our best selling Choose Your Strap Aprons – these have been hand picked by our designers to work in a range of businesses and industries
