The Role

Reporting to the Embroidery manager, the role of Embroidery Machine Operator will be operating single and multiple head Barudan embroidery machines. You'll work alongside our Client Service team to deliver high quality embroidered cargo to our brilliant customers. 

Preferred full-time operator but part time operators also considered.

Key Responsibilites

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operation of Multi head machines (six and eight head) embroidery machines 
  • Obtain work orders from supervisor to fulfil daily production orders
  • Confer with Client Service team to obtain any specific instructions on embroidery orders
  • Calibrate and set up embroidery machines at the beginning of each shift, to ensure that it works according to standards during the day
  • Select the right type and colour of threads and ensure that they are properly threaded in machine needles
  • Hooping garments and fabric correctly and set under the needle to perform the embroidery
  • Perform both preventative and regular maintenance on embroidery machines to ensure that they remain in good working order
  • Maintain high quality garments output
  • Fixing logo issues and logo placement with Client Service team if required
  • Working with Client Service team to ensure embroidery decisions are understood (allowing the Client Service team to inform and confirm with the client)
  • Always maintains cleanliness and tidy working area 

Does This Sound Like You?

  • 1-2 Years’ experience operating a Commercial Embroidery Machine
  • A desire to take ownership of our overall embroidery offering and quality control to ensure the delivery of the highest quality embroidery
  • Deadline focused in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have an extremely high level of attention to detail (this is a must)
  • Flexible with shift start time
  • A desire to work in an innovative and growing organisation
  • Proven experience working productively and in a collaborative manner, encouraging a strong sense of cohesion across the team and business
  • Understanding of, or exposure to, uniform fashion industry or the like
  • Personal values which truly reflect those of Cargo Crew
  • An eye and passion for quality, style and design
  • Able to take initiative - you get things done
