Whilst Cargo Crew was launched in 2012, it was actually born back in 2002 by fashion designer Felicity Rodgers who wanted to create contemporary uniforms that staff would be proud to wear.
Felicity launched her bespoke uniform business from a one-bedroom flat in Melbourne’s Clifton Hill. It wasn’t long before she built a loyal stable of clients through creating quality customised uniforms that enhanced and complimented the brands of the businesses wearing them. Many of these foundation clients are still our clients today.
Along the way our story became a family affair when Felicity’s husband Paul Rodgers and sister Narelle Craig joined her in the business and together the trio continued to build on Felicity’s vision.
Cargo Crew was launched in 2012 with just four denim aprons and a hospitality target audience in mind.
Fast forward and Cargo Crew has truly flourished and now boasts a range of 100+ styles and a hugely diverse customer base.
We are proud to have disrupted the once bland and predictive uniform industry and it was incredible to be named Telstra National Small Business of the year 2015.
We have created a brand that crews around the world love to wear and have used our talents to create original, design led products that enhance and compliment a business’s visual identity.
Today we have grown to become an amazing team of over twenty talented people, working out of our Melbourne offices in Australia, with 12,000 crews around the world wearing our uniforms. Our clients include leading corporate brands like Renault, Hoyts & Freedom Furniture, artisan coffee roasters like Seven Seeds and even Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop (yes, Gwyneth Paltrow).
Our mission hasn’t changed though. We are still about pushing the boundaries of what a uniform means to staff and brands; and having fun as we dress some of the best businesses in the world.
